Yeah, it just arrived today to our shop. Funny how people have
problem spelling the name (Latyrx). Besides Latryx I've seen two
other versions, tho' I don't remember them right now.
For the music, well, I bought the record right away without
listening to it once (the way Straight No Chaser appraised it and
the name Dj Shadow were enough to convince me) and now, after I've
had one good listen at it, I can say it's at least fine. It's not
an easy record; tho none of those unique Dj Shadow beats but
straight ahead hip hop, it has some very abstract and experimental
stuff on the lyrics side and the way it's built up. But I guess
I'll have to listen to it a few times more before saying anything
truly original.
And to the one who recommended me the Underdog versions of
Emperors New Clothes' Darklight / Haunted Music was a genious.
I mean, that's my definition on Music or Groove or anything you
like.
