LATYRX(review)

Everyone knows LATYRX it's just that noone knows how to spell
it!!! For all you who don't know it's spelles L-A-T-Y-R-X. It's pronunced
ls-tear-ics, like lyrics with a tear in it. Dont be mistaken I think its
great that solesides and the rest of the bayarea crew is finally being
recognized but everyone should know how to spell LATYRX. For those who dont
know LATYRX is Lateef the TruthSpeaker and Lyrics Born with production by
Shadow and Chief Xcel.
Speaking of solesides I'm going to see Shadow at AXIS(in boston)
next wednesday, the 23rd. I was just wondering if anyone knows if LATYRX
will be there. I know Jeru and Triplemind(local) will be there but I dont
know if anyother of the solesides crew will. Also any info on Triplemind
would be greatly apprecieted.
Also I just picked up LATYRX and Blackalicous' Melodica EP(another
soleside artist). LATYRX is uterly spectacular the music ranges from some
straight up "west coast" style hip hop to a wild track where both Lyrics Born
and LAteef rap at the same time. A lot of the beats are very jazzy but there
is a nice range and the cuts are dope. A definate must have for all hip hop
lovers!!!
Melodica is also great but its alot diferent. Blackalicous is Gift
of Gab rapping again with Xcel and Shadow producing. His is even more jazzy
then LATYRX alot of the time the chorus of the song is just asample of some
old funk or hard bop tune, and at times Gift of Gab breaks into skat singing.
Its pretty wierd so Id recommend listening before buying. My friend who is
normaly of R+B did like it though. Personally Iprefer the Melodica EP to
LATYRX but They are both amzing.
