Got the new Herbalizer album not long ago....g r e a t ! I was afraid it
would be...uhm..too ambient/abstract/whatever, but it turned out to be
perfect! Overall it got somewhat the same vibe as London Funk Allstars
and The Wiseguys. What really took me by suprise (and it seems to me
this is what most people tend to talk about when discussing the album)
is a female rapper called What What... Shes one of those persons that
will really make you wonder WHY in gods name someone is actually PAYING
to hear Lil'Kim and Foxxy Brown (blah!). Theres no doubt in my mind that
the UK...and france for that matter..are a major player in the future
sound of hiphop, and The Herbalizer is most defenetly part of it!
The old Vadim album? uhm... to my knowlegde, USSR Repertoire is his only
album... The only thing ive ever seen or heard that came out earlier
than "USSR.." is the 12" Nonlatheral Hypothesis/London Mindstate wich i
looove ! ! ! IF there actually is a old vadim album (not on Ninjatune?)
then PWLIIS let me know where and how to get ahold of it!
