Man, talk about a sterile, rigidly sequenced, poorly produced,
uninspiring, and stilted sophmore attempt. Complete with dull rap,
boring solos and robotic grooves.
Now, I'm not saying I totally loved their first outing, but it was good
and compared to this, it's a masterpiece!
It's a shame, because (for some reason) this is one of the few acid jazz
projects that the "mainstream" media actually pays some attention to.
Man, it could be so much more! Lord knows why Blue Note gives these guys
access to their vaults, insted of someone who understands "groove". (I
guess it's because their 1st album was the highest selling album in Blue
Note history)
