Music: I've duplicated all the tapes for the artists but just realized one
minor setback - I have to re-record all of the b-sides!!!! My tape machine
can serially record both sides, but due to varying tape lengths the first
artist's track on the B side got cut off a bit, which is unacceptable. As I
can record 2 per day or so, it's setting me back 10 days from my original goal
for a mail date of May 1. Oh well....
Graphics/Web: Thankfully, our graphics people remained dedicated, although it
turned out that I only needed to use one of them for the cover of this
preliminary tape. The plan remains the same - the artists will vote on
tracklisting. I'd imagine that this could happen by June, so after that,
we're going to need some of the web help that we originally talked about, so
we could put up a page with artist bios, etc. etc. etc. DJ Herb had
originally volunteered to do this - are you still with us herb? Or anyone
else out there with the necessary space for 10ish 30-second sound files and
associated graphic stuff?
Thanks to everyone who replied regarding interest -
As always, if you have anything else (besides music) that you believe you can
offer to the acid jazz list's compilation project, please contact me.
