"Man, this is better than the Chemical Brothers ..."
Surely not!! ;)
But, does this mean the chemicals are "wack" and the us
scene is turning to the "cooler" (ie less mainstream) ninjas?
One thing seems clear: the us audience would probably like a little
beat-merchant madness - it's just that the majors can't sign it and
so people won't know it, hear it or be able to buy it easily.
For those who are interested:
Farina's set started off with some deep, deep house (garage-style) but
after the balcony that held the dancefloor threatened to collapse
under the strain of 110bpm jumping, he cooled it off a little with
some fine acid jazz, erykah badu, maxwell, bjork, bnh, etc. Anyone know
approx. how old Mark is and where he hails from? (I thought it was
San Fran ...)
