Just a quick note to let you know that the Groove Collective are going to
be playing Sapphire Supper Club this Monday night (5th) as part of a
special 'Phat N Jazzy' installment. DJs BMF and Slack will be spinning
before and after the show which, all agreed, will probably be smoking. The
phone number for the Sapphire Supper Club, located in downtown Orlando, is
(407) 246-1419. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster for you out of
towners.
Of course, Phat N Jazzy still happens every Tuesday at the Supper Club with
DJs BMF, Slack, and myself. Upcoming guests (tentative) are Greyboy
All-Stars, DJ Spinna, and Slide Five.
I'll be doing a bit of touring come the end of May. I'll be opening for the
Chemical Brothers for their Atlanta and Tampa shows, and then I'll head
over to the west coast for dates in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle,
and hopefully a few more stops. I'll let everyone know as things get
confirmed.
Just got Tribes Of Da Underground 3 compilation from Infracom in Germany.
This is a must get once it is released... tracks from Shantel, Mighty Bop,
Lamb, Funki Porcini, Karma and remixes by Solid Doctor, Luke Vibert, Doc
Scott... most of it has been released before, but together in one package
the LP is pretty much irresistable.
Regards to all,
michael donaldson
