On CD, there is only slim pickins: his first (forget then name but it's street
names "On 110th and Lennox" or something. This one is spoken word/poetry
material with rhythms. Deep. "Pieces of a Man", the classic with "The
Revolution...". "Free Will", half/half spoken word and musical numbers. All
on Flying Dutchman/RCA. There are also two "best of" collections on CD as well
and, of course, his latest one which was referred to in another post.
Some others on album that I can remember off the top of my head: "Stand By Me"
(this one is actually Bernard Purdie's album but Gil makes an appearance on a
cut and this album is very hard to find, too), "Secrets", "First Minutes of a
New Day" (I think this is the title), "Moving Target", "From South Carolina to
South Africa" (I think this is the title, sorry my memory is not too good).
I'll check my collection tonight and see what else I have...
