hi fi killers-loaded
don't have too much time for a lengthy review but don't want anyone to
miss it since I haven't noticed it mentioned. Its DJ Shadow, Eric B and
Booker T. the beats are a bit more simplistic than Shadow's solo stuff
but disc really grooves. Lots a horns and strings, some great noises
ala MC 900 ft Jesus and violent movie sound clips that don't always go
with the smooth (retro?) sound.

another recent gem- 8th dimension's Selected Material. I only have a
sampler from their new disc but this is what I think of as acid jazz
(please no one comment on that, its just my opinion). great compilition
with tunes from Q-Burn's Abstract Message, BMF, Pimp Daddy Nash and
more. definately check this out.
