the below text was pulled from the site. no mention of shadow.

beast that reared its grotesque head and named itself "Hi
Fi Killers." The two man tag team of producers, writers,
and arrangers is Johnny Guitar Horn and Kevin Lee
Oakland; two seemingly average guys with one thing in
common: "they hate the man."

Armed only with fatback funk, cold-blooded break beats
and tight ass horns, they embarked on a journey they knew
wouldn't be easy. Inspired by kick flicks, controlled
substances and crates of wax, they created what they
thought would be a sensation in their own minds,
"Loaded".

The Hi Fi Killers were aided in their endeavor by the
Muscle Shoals Horns, Critters Buggin/Tuatara saxophonist
Skerik, West Coast Tape King DJ B-Mello and Jim Horn,
whose studio experiences with artists as varied as Elvis,
Stevie Wonder and Van McCoy helped them fine tune their
old school/new school vibe.

As they grow larger by the day, Seattle seems to keep
getting smaller and smaller. Involved in the soundtrack
of the upcoming independent film Hell Cab, music
production and their own recording studio, they still
spend most of their time in pursuit of espresso cart
girls. Unaffected by popular opinion in the land of
grunge, coffee, and smoked salmon, the Hi Fi Killers are
well on the way to becoming a household word.
