Actually, I heard this tune today on KCRW-FM here in Los Angeles;
apparently it was some tripped out Holiday mix
set to the drum loop from DJ Shadow's "Midnight In a Perfect world" which
had a whole mess of samples and scratches from old recordings of Christmas
tunes (plus 'The Dreidl Song') sung by people like Bing Crosby, various
choirs, etc. In addition to spoken Christmas-related TV samples from
sources like Pee Wee Herman, South Park, Beavis & Butt-head and more...I
wonder if anyone else out there has heard this.
On the D&B Tip, Groove Radio 103.1 is again playing "Jungle Bells" (a drum
& bass remix of Frank Sinatra singing 'Jingle Bells' which was made by a
couple local DJs last year).
