hmmm... lots of people maintain very large sites of mp3s... some have
upload ratios, some don't. if i was planning on downloading mp3 files
i sure as hell wouldn't pay for them =)
but quite a few mp3 sites out there really do give you the full on
about supporting artists... i check out alot of mp3s, and if i do
like what i hear, i *do* buy it... i recently heard the grooverider
presents the prototype years and a bunch of metalheadz mp3s and loved
the material... this has prompted me to dish out large sums of cash
on the items =) i think that people who listen to music that is
considered 'underground' (ie not top 40 / mtv airplay 24/7) care
about the artists they listen to, especially when artists on much
smaller labels probably keep a day job that sucks a lot more than the
one you hold (not you in particular)
anyways, thats my perspective... maybe i'm alone in it...
