Greetings all,

a short review, more to come (remember when we had alot more of these?)

St. Germain--Alabama Blues Revisited
One of my recent favorites, heavy on the jazz vibe, contains 2 mixes. One
mix by Grand Central--nice midtempo break-ish, way mellow beautiful jazzy!
(can anyone identify the samples? (besides the "i'm goin' to alabama mama"
sample)
the second mix by wax doctor, junglist, real nice, except somehow I managed
to get a UPC sticker stuck to the first 1/2 of the track! (don't ask me how
this happened) i got most of the adhesive off, but when i play it there is a
noticable (bump) :( this would fit squarely in the genre of jazzy jungle stuff.

THe B-SIDE, however, rocks my world. A track called "Soul Salsa Soul" or
something like that. Its house, but with a heavy latin jazz influence, (or
is it latin jazz with a heavy house influence? i can't decide, but it makes
me dance.
there is a breakdown about 3/4 of the way thru where its just congas! the
percussion is great, the trumpet and piano solos are tight (don't have a
listing of musicians here,) but you get the picture.

stay funky, keep the fight alive--
