Hey Dan,

I agree with u on this issue. It is indeed difficult for
musicians who are truly artists and not businessmen in tattered jeans to
get their work across to those who would surely appreciate it...unless
ofcourse, there are certain alternative media playing a role. Perhaps,
this does not apply to Matt as he lives in the west where u got
underground clubs and fanzines spreading the word around. But, I live in
Bangkok, Thailand, where groove-based music is appreciated only by those
with a
healthy regard for jazz, and other art forms involving complex rythms, and
who are bored of rock 'n' roll and grunge, which is not a sizable group of
poeple I must say. Thus, we turn into the Internet for info on our
favorite music, without which we are pretty much in the dark.

But, ofcourse, having Michael Jackson on toilet paper, or Jon Bon
Jovi on condoms, or even Cranberries going "I am free to decide" 57 times
a day on radio is, altogether, a different matter.

By the way, do u happen to have any info about the availability of
Galactic's new release in the Tower Records outlets in Asia in the near
future.
