The latest Kruder and Dorfmeister release is a DJ KICKS mix CD,
one of the better entries in the series.
The Bellissima artists have mostly defected to a new label, Idyllic.
I'm sure Ben List, our man in Japan, will give you most of the details
on this.
The Irma label is going strong. They've started a new sublabel
called Irma La Douce that is the bees knees, from what I've heard
so far. Their first few releases are all compilations:
* FRIENDS FROM RIO (reissue of the Far Out release)
* BOSSA BEACH (latin jazz)
* WHO'S THAT SOUL? (soul music)
* MO' PLEN 2000 (Italian movie soundtracks)
* TRIP HOP SHOP (trip hop)
I've also been enjoying the two comps in their GROOVY series
of jazz dance classics from the 70's to the 90's.
