this is what i'm beefing on! why do people have to "know" the band? if
they can hear a phat groove, that should be enough! i feel that l.a. peeps
(serious headz excepted--you know who you are) respond only to "groove
approved" bands/djs. an article in the l.a. times (clubs/"where the groove
lives"--by d. james romero) perfectly encapsulated what i'm saying

what about an acid-jazz/breakbeat (i.e. jungle, hiphop, etc.) rave? i heard
that moontribe put on an aj/triphop after-hours in s.m. i wanted to go, but
there were more pressing things for me, so i didn't attend...
