One of the great things about this list in 95 & 96 was the sharing of mix
tapes on the list. In that time I recieved a number of mix tapes from DJ
Qool Marv, Bambi and DJ Frenzie. However the tapes that kept my house
rocking have dried to a trickle. Is there anybody there who is putting
together mix tapes and willing to work on a contra arrangement ( ie. you
send me a tape and I'll send you a tape of Aussie acid jazz) or who is
willing to work on a 'goodness of my heart basis (ie. you send it to me
for nothing and I promise to write a review on the list). I know that the
list and the acid jazz scene has changes, but receiving mix tapes from
Qool Marv and Bambi really tripped me into some cool and groovy music. It
gave me a sense of the diversity of taste and interests on the list. Even
the dialogues about the tapes were fascinating. So if anybody is
interested drop me a line.
