Yeah, the UK has been like that since about 1992-1993. It's nice, but the
downside is that lots of nasty, mindless commercial dance music will emerge
as record companies realise they can make lots o cash putting out crap.
Sounds like you're in a honeymoon period.
Having said that, the scene is so developed now and there is a sufficiently
large back catalogue of wicked tunes that radio is bound to be better off
than with anaemic ROCK! hits that have polluted music since the late '80s.
Dance/electronica is THE most popular over-genre of music over here.
