What happened to "The Roots"?

Hey people....I just went out and bought "THE ROOTS" today. From what I
can remember their last album was geared towards a smooth jazz
sound...what happened? Not complaining, because it turned out to be
fairly good hip-hop, but I was expecting to hear the JAZZ! It was kind
of like biting into a hot dog and instead of tasting a hot dog, I tasted
a hamburger. Both are good, but if I wanted a hamburger I would have bit
into a hamburger....VERY POOR analogy, but the point is that it ALMOST
ruins their credibility. I'm going to be hesitant the next time I go to
buy one of their albums!!
