i agree that the record is real good, and they had a good time recording
it.

but

the last record by the allstars was the Robert Walter record. i have to
say that if thats the one you're talking about, i should mail you an ear
wax removal kit. the robert walter record is the best-engineered
recording ive heard in years, as far as the "Blue Note groove jazz"
sound is concerned. everyone even remotely interested in this sound
should pick up this record.

i agree that the first allstars record and karl denson's album on the
Greyboy label didnt quite get that beautiful airy analog sound. but
theyre still great records with good performances... something that i
would say about very few records ive heard by real bands in recent
years.
