NOTES & COMMENTS
----------------
-I have decided to now list all my recurrents/recents/requests instead of
just the top ten in order for every recipient of my chart to understand
the scope and parameters of what I play. This includes all vinyl I play
(my show is probably 80% CD and 20% vinyl) and even CD singles. The
Essential Albums category will remain full-length release exclusive
because college radio has always been album oriented (and rightfully so),
and a lesser emphasis is place on commerically appealing singles.
-Coming soon to Atlanta's Lakewood Ampitheatre: Smokin' Grooves '97
featuring George Clinton & P-Funk, Foxy Brown, The Roots, Cypress Hill,
Outkast, Erykah Badu, and many more. We'll be continuing our ticket
giveaway promotion for this event this weekend (hopefully) and on our
American rap show, _Power_Of_Soul_. Stay tuned.
-Coming soon to Atlanta's Lakewood Ampitheatre: Wu Tang Clan, on tour
with headliners Rage Against The Machine and Atari Teenage Riot. In
August to promote their new double album, _Wu_Tang_Forever_.
-Maxwell played in Atlanta's Fox Theatre on both July 4 and 5. I missed
both shows because it sold out too quickly. Word around town is that
he'll be back in these parts towards the end of summer. Stay tuned for
the latest details.
-Coming to Athens' 40 Watt: The Sugar Hill Gang on July 23. Their last
show was a near sell-out (Hell, it might've been completely packed).
