Somebody asked about the track listing for the 6th volume of Mojo
Club's Dancefloor Jazz, vol 6 "Summer in the city", here it goes:
Quincy Jones - Summer in the City
Dieter Reith - My Kind of Sunshine
The Equals - Funky like a Train
James Last - Bolero 75
The Marvelettes - Here I Am Baby
Pierre Henry & Michel Colombier - Psyche Rock
David Shire - Salsation
Peter Herbolzheimer - Feedback Brother
Jorge Ben - Ponta de Lanca Africano
Chakachas - Jungle Fever
George Gruntz - Hal-Lucy-'N'-'O'-One-Step
all in all a very good comp, as usual, only perhaps a few
not-so-obscure tracks (already found many times the Chakachas one, as
well as the Jorge Ben or the Pierre Henry, but never heard the funny
James Last one, a Deodatesque rendition of Ravel's Bolero).
and i love the ufo LP:) btw the waltz is not very sy-esque (as opposed
to the rest of the LP), but very nice, arthur h and UFO's raphael
contribute with a lovely parisan's "musette" feeling.
as for french labels, i collected a few phone and fax numbers, for
informations and/or mail order (hey Dino! save these:):
