I was just thumbing though the latest _MicroTimes_ magazine (a free
computer magazine
published in California and a couple of other states) and they had a
feature article on OM
Records' Enhanced CDs, namely Mushroom Jazz & Deep Concentration...Our very
own
Eric Kalabacos was interviewed, as he worked for OM (at the time).

Also of note, it was an interesting day; I learned that Jamiroquai swept
the MTV awards nominations for their little sliding floor video, and I
heard Sneaker Pimps'
"6 Undergound" on a local top40 station, that's usually accustomed to
playing weak Euro-house, high-school hip-hop and 153 various En Vogue clones.
I also heard Moloko's "Fun For Me" on the radio in its entirety for the
first time (not on the top40 station, though). That's it; I'm buying their
album.

Another album that's on my list is the Fugees' Wyclef Jean's project album
(Carnival feat. Wyclef & the Refugee All-Stars). So far what I heard is
amazing. I just heard this tune that had a Hatian French rap, with Lauryn
Hill leading the gospel-blues work song chorus. The album is quite obvious
- it's basically a Fugees album too elaborate for the pop market, so they
had to release it under a different artist name.

Also, has anyone heard of the "Spawn" soundtrack album? It features
interesting pairs between alternative/industrial/grunge/punk/metal-type
artists and the biggest names in Electronica - for example, Marilyn Mason
and the Sneaker Pimps - whodvethunkit!?!?
