Just a minor correction. The classic versions are from Verve not Impulse.
In any case, it' a good compilation if you don't already have the stuff on
full lengths.

This is a killer compilation. Also (along the same lines), the Friends From
Rio, Man Sueto and Bossa Nostra cd's on Irma are outstanding as well. The
first Juice compilation is packed with bossa tunes too.

I have always considered bossa nova and Latin music to be separate styles
of music. Seems like much of the time on the list they are considered the
same thing. For my own understanding, what exactly is "Latin music"? It
would probably be easier to understand if specific artists were named.
