Lamb/GusGus

I, too went to the show and wouldn't review it as glowingly as everyone else,
but it was pretty good. Lamb definitely outshines GusGus, you could miss
GusGus and you wouldn't be missing all that much....sorry GusGus. But Lamb's
beats were a little "light" I thought - I liked the time signatures and stop &
go feel, but it really seemed largely sequenced and not tremendously layered.
The upright bassist & trumpeter did kick it, though. The vocalist is
incredible.
Overall, as a live act it's kind of tough to swallow. I would have to agree
with Q-burn's philosophy of doing electronic music live - a lot of standing &
flexing. I felt as I left that I would have been more entertained by a rock &
roll band. The Chems & Orbital and a couple of guys in N.J. who I know are
the only guys who I've seen pull off the live thing thus far....
