thing you mentioning that. I got a promo last week of a tune from these guys
called 'Love Corporation'(creation) and 1 of the tunes featured,'Palatial' was
mixed by Danny Rampling who was (is?) a pretty well known House dj.
Anyway the liner notes with this promo described the sound as Balearic. Reminded
me a bit of 'Pacific'(808 State) if anyone remembers that? Mind you never heard
that refered to as Balearic.

Whats the deal on Balearic? When I was in London a few weeks back, I
came across this record that was labeled Balearic, its a
BoxSaga/Arakatuba record, and I guess the best way I can describe it is
Tribal/Instrumental (NuJazzy)/Breakbeat (115 BPM ish) Is this typical
of this type of music? The record I bought was on Bongo. What other
labels out there are known for this style? Some of the stuff on Filter,
I would also put into this sound category, anybody know anything?

BTW- I had a great time at 2-slo on Friday. Excellent performance by
Oversoul 7, and Q-Burns. Keep an eye out for the next one on 7/4 with
OM records.
