The Congregation is feelin' kinda spunky after the success of it's CD
Release Party and a great trip to San Francisco! The Release Party, held
2 weeks ago Thursday at the Alligator Lounge was a real swanky bash!
Thanks to the "event" and bands/ friends Yogurt, Swim, Damon Aaron and
their able-bodied crowds, we set a record for the biggest Thursday night
ever at The Alligator Lounge!!! Several hundred people attended along
with Music Connection, who will wax the poetic dope on us for an
upcoming issue.
The Northern Cali Mini-Tour was a wacky ol' good time. First, Kevin and
Sheffer did an interview at the San Jose State University radio station
(leaving the rest of us in the dust on the 5 North!), then they met up
with us B-list, second-string band members (not bitter, I swear!) at
Gordon Biersch, where we played to a packed house (even if some were
really just there for the beer...ahem!). Then we recorded a song for an
upcoming Fog City Records compilation (Dan, is this still a secret?)
over the weekend. Monday, we played to (yes, that's right!) a packed
house at Cafe Du Nord and yeah, you got it, we'll be going back! Suffice
it to say, we returned with all humility and dignity intact
(yeah...right!).
If I don't say we couldn't have done it all without the help of Kris and
Katie, I might get in trouble, so now my butt's covered. This sounds
like a freakin' acceptance speech, don't it?
