I have to concur. There's nothing there, in fact some of the samples are
awful and second-hand. Very disappointing and light years behind his Plug
1+2 (don't know 3) releases. A real shame. What appeared at the time to
be genuine drum'n'bass invention has been revealed as nothing more then an
interesting but abortive side road.

However, there's no way I'm going to write him off completely, and I might
still buy the LP, Big Soup, because there is a strong current of quality
running through many of his releases. As it stands, rave-style jungle has
leapfrogged all the intelligent drum'n'bass efforts and there seems to be
no end to the innovation in that style - this in my opinion has left
intelligent d'n'b looking pretty stupid.

I think he has collapsed all his other personas into 'Luke Vibert' - hope
not because the Plug stuff was often tearin'!
