>>>I prefer the more jazzier sound (US3, JTQ) as well as the soulful
>>>sound (N'dea Davenport) of acid jazz and as I'm still searchin' for
>>>grooves .. does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.
>>Well, you really should check out The Brand New Heavies, Corduroy,
>>United Future Organization and on the more soulful side Jhelisa,
>>Me'Shell Ndege Ocello (I'm not sure if I spelled that one right ..;)
>>and do yourself a favor by checking out the mellow side of aj from
>>Italy...
>Wel, there are good artists in Italy, I recomend the Funky Company,
>the name's album are "Tendency of Love", sounds like BNH, great vocals,
>great intrumentals. Wonderfull !!!!!

Alexandre Tahira is absolutly rigth! I just got Funky Company's record
and I'm playing it as I writr this words. It's brilliant! What a voice!

Also check Black & Brown's album from 95 named File Under Funk, Menu
Kebah the new compilation from Big Cheese Records and, please, do
yourself a favor and buy Nuyorican Soul. There's no words to driscribe
this record. We're still in the begining of March and I'm already voting
it for Best Record of 97!
