Realaudio is streaming audio, wich means that you hear it AS you
download it..allmost. Your player needs to buffer the data-stream so it
wont be 100% dependable on the transmittion but will have a few seconds
of music ready to play *IF* and when the stream of audio for some reason
stops or are delayed. If your connection is too bad, it will use up its
buffered audio, and you have to wait for it to download more music.. im
pretty sure these are the gaps you are refering to.
If you have tried Macromedia's Shockwave-Streaming Audio you probably
know that the problem there is even worse...i dont know why tho.
Unless you allready have, download the RealPlayer (realaudio 4.0)...its
improved ALOT since Realaudio 3.0 + its capable of showing video (even
my 256kb line dont show video as good as i want it too, but its a noble
idea)
