As far as I'm aware Carl McIntosh is not the same person as CJ
Mackintosh.

Now a little birdie tells me that Loose ends are starting back up and there
is a very good female vocalist teaming up with CJ Mackintosh. There was due
to be a single out this spring but I don't know what has happened on that
front. I'll try and find out some more.

See ya,

The "original" version of Loose Ends (Carl McIntosh, Jane Eugene & Steve
Nichol) split up after their 1988 LP "The Real Chuckeeboo". There was talk
of Eugene starting a solo career, but nothing seems to have come of it (a
major shame.) Steve Nichol was apparently going to do more production work
(but I don't think I've ever seen any.) McIntosh kept the Loose Ends name
going and released the "Look How Long" LP in 1990, and had a couple of hit
singles from it. After that, they only sign of Loose Ends has been the
remix LP that came out a couple of years back.

Carl McIntosh and CJ Mackintosh are definitely _not_ the same person.
