To be honsest, ive had a good laugh over this Ringo thing you two got
going :) Its funny.
As for Ringo and his skills as a drummer, im not a Beatles fan,FAR from
it (tho Lucy in the sky with diamonds have somewhat of an appeal to me)
but as a ex-drummer/ex-bassist/now-producer-stuck-in-my-bedroom i can
safely say that I have never heard anything by Ringo that made me
believe that he was anything but a regular, boring drummer...by no worth
mentioning when talking 'bout good drummers but at the same time a
better drummer than Sid was a bassplayer ;).
As far as i can see, "regular" rock/pop bands seldom have good drummers
(or bassists), they tend to rely on a good guitarist and vocalist :P
I guess that goes for the beatles too (oh..not the bass-factor of
course)
As for Sid, I cant possibly see why in gods name someone would look up
to suck a pathetic creature. The guy did smack, couldnt play bass,
killed his girlfriend (come on, you KNOW he did it)and then took his own
life... Maybe its just me, but i cant relate to that.
