da> and I say
da> sorry to burst YOUR bubble but you're fulla shit.
da> His drumming inspired a lot of other folks, and that's good enough for
da> me. It's just off enough to make it cool. Paul's drumming might be
da> more exact but that doesn't make either one of them any greater or
da> better.
umm... i think lo-ki was trying to tell you that some of that influential
stuff you refer to may *not* have been ringo's playing at all...
da> If you think he was so bad, by all means please step up on to the
da> stage and make that sound better than he can. (The only person I ever
da> heard that could come close was Robert Wyatt).
i'm not sure what you're challenging lo-ki (or anyone, really) to do. are
you asking someone to play the drum parts of classic beatles tunes better
than ringo? i'm sure that i know several drummers *personally* (i'm not
only
a dj & loudmouth, i'm a musician & desert topping too!) that would be up to
the job--and they're not even names! i'm sure that simon phillips (to drop
a
name) could rip the shit out of those parts--and not in that neal peart,
overplaying kinda way either (sorry rush fans...)!
2 more q's...
1. who is robert wyatt?
2. why are we still talking about ringo?
