JTQ has many faces. They started out as a retro 60s Mod band, and some
later material delves into rock, but the majority of their work is on the
smoove funky acid jazz tip. The album mentioned, "In The Hand of the
Inevitable" is one of my faves. Just picture BNH's "Brother Sister" with
much more Hammond organ and a couple more instrumentals and you've got it.
Another good release is "Supernatural Feeling." JTQ is also notorious for
making funky covers of ('60s and '70s) TV and movie theme songs.
