Salut,

Went to Paris this week end, but as usual had no time to really check
out things...:(. Anyway, the few things I heard is that the Solaar LP
should be out on june the 21st, a single around the 4th of june or
something like that. Apparently this first single already had some
airplay, but I did'nt have a chance to catch it while I was there.

Next thing on Gilb-R's Versatile Records is I:Cube's LP, called Picnic
Attack, and apparently it's really good. I:Cube is also present on
Source Lab 3 for a track, as well as people like Erik Rug, Gilb R, DJ
Cam, uner some unrecognisable pseudonyms, and of course many others.

Le Fromage Productions/Big Cheese Records have a new compilation out
on their sublabel 220 Volts Records, called "Tuner a Vif", I actually
bought it but did'nt manage to listen to it yet, it should be more on
the electronic/dance thing than the Menus compilations, and it
features trackes by King Kooba, Daphreephunkateerz, Kenny Dope
Gonzalez, Dee Nasty.

There should be a compilation in a few months of remixes of tv series
themes, but for the moment two records are available, called "Episode
1, bonjour chez vous" (featuring Doctor Pheno, Mighty Bop, Dimitri,
Charles Schillings, DJ Cam,...), and "Episode 2, Prets pour
teleportation" (featuring Snooza, Stephane Malca, Roussia,
Extralucid...)... just read that in a magazine, don't understand if
these are related to the aforementioned comp or what...

I receive many messages about the yellow/big cheese pages, that have
been disabled. I'm sorry if I haven't answered, but I'm really busy at
the moment. The thing is that I had to take them off, and Dino
(salut!) should be able to find a place where to put them on again and
run them... stay tuned and be patient!...

About some posts I read: raggasonic is a ragga possee from around
paris, quite old by now (they already were on NTM's first LP); they
seem to have taken the Jungle direction since a year or two, but I
did'nt listen to their sourcelab track, actually I only know some of
their ragga tunes (and don't like them that much, as a matter of
fact).

About la India, I did'nt see the LP with Palmieri that was mentioned
here, but have a LP with Tito Puente, mostly covers (Fever, Wave, Love
for Sale), different settings (salsa combo, big band), actually a bit
over produced for me, but some tracks are nice (I dig Wave).

Mathieu Kassowitz (of "la haine" fame) has done a new movie, that is
out now in france, called "Assassins"; I don't know, unfortunately,
what it's about, and if it has something to do with the rap band of
the same name... only saw the ads!.. well sorry I'm getting into
uninteresting things, so before starting a new thread about "hey, by
the way, India is very good looking! - no, I prefer Bjork - and what
about Jelisha? ", I'd better go.
