I have an old pair of AKG 240 Monitor which are simply brilliant. They
sound more than ok and can stand very, very high input. I'm not sure
how easy this headphone is to find anymore though. It used to cost
around 120 USD I think.

The new AKG K401 and K501 are also very nice (especially the K501).
There is also the classy K1000 which is really expensive and silly
looking, but sounds ok.
