When I think of Indian classical music, I think of sitars, tablas and
sarods, three of the primary "classical" instruments. What Ravi Shankar
does on his own (without George Harrison or whoever) might be classified as
Indian classical.

Sort of F.Y.I., my all-time favorite "Indian classical" CD is Garden of
Dreams by Ali Akbar Khan, which came out on Triloka Records in 1993.
