It's hard to describe but basically you can feel that the artist just
layed down track by track and improvized one layer at a time, with
sounds coming from various synth but also some distorted vocal sounds
thru vocoder-like effects, even a human beat box on one track.
Overall the whole record sounds very "live" although all electronic,
with steady minimalistic beat backgrounds ala Herbert/Dr. Rockit but
then some weird jazzy improvization the way El Malo or Takemura's
albums sound. It might be hard for some to like right away but a
couple of relaxed listenings will do (in other words don't judge
this record by listening to it in headphones in you local store)
I always digged Luke Vibert's work and I'm glad he has reached this
point in his carrer where he can put something like this out on
Mo'Wax! Not good dj material but excellent chill tool.
