And for the purposes of this list, the most relevant recording in this
movement might be the fairly recent resurrection album by the original
artists, called "Tropicalia II" (the II being pronounced "doysh", as I
understand it), which has absolutely fabulous smooth funky rhythms
embracing very jazzy avant-garde poetic lyrics, some of which are very
reminiscent of Dada-ism.

As a *huge* fan of anything Bahian (especially the blocos-afros,
Carlinhos Brown, and Tropicalia artists like Gilberto Gil, Caetano and
Gal, I'd be willing to trade almost anything from here in New Orleans.
