Matt (the guy without the hat) is usually a friendy guy. We had a lot of
gear problems that night so he was a bit frustrated. Jon's computer
crashed mid-way through which is why the mid part of the set was much
more bizarre then it was ment to be. We're still working a few bugs out
of the system and the show keeps getting better everynight. Hopefully
people appreciate the fact that it is completly live (they are remixing
the record each night on there computers) and not just a lot of flash to
hide the fact that it's just an artist pressing play on a DAT. I think we
have succesfully bridged a 'dance' night and 'concert' night together on
this tour via the progression and different elements of performance from
Coldcut, DJ Food, and Kid Koala. Anyway, it was the first time I've seen
the show and I thought it was wicked. On the face to name tip...The woman
(Philippa) working the merch table runs the label with me. I was the one
slightly drunk next to the table rambling on about early hair metal bands
with a writer from Wire magazine. After many hours of debate we concluded
that Slayer's 'Reign In Blood' is possibly one of the best record
ever...errr ya there goes the credibility.
