I picked up the tape, and seems like with Monie Love (member her?) The
guest appearances on other artists' stuff was a lot more entertaining than
a full album of material from her. Its not bad, but its not wonderful
either... The 'pseudo drum-n-bass' tracks are at best,just okay, because
the producer, Timbaland uses the same beats and samples with every artist
he produces (GinuWine, Aaliyah, etc etc) so its kinda played. Yeah, the
"pop" press/reviews are loving her, but the actual consumers, the hip hop
listeners have no respect for her.
Im eagerly awaiting Goldie tho...

What's the word out on Missy's album? I've been out of the country and off
the list for some time so I probably assume it's been discussed. The
mainstream press seems crazy about it, touting it as the baddest thang since
"Baduizm." What's the list's word on it, particularly the Drum N Bass
tracks?
