dear List:
This New Breed thing started because a fellow listee aked a question
about New Breed Records, a great hiphop/Jazz/instumental label
that flourished made great music then vanished after seemingly having a
great release year in 96. I have always tried to answer peoples
questions, if I knew the answer, because I would want that done for
me(and it is -Thanx). Since I have asked about New Breed myself, and
have tried to call them I passed on what I knew. The first
Post concerned whatNew BREED stuff is crucial, so i dashed that off ;
then someone (JUUSSO)asked about the Prunes album . Now JuUsSo is
clearly an Overseas(excuse my AMEROCENTRISM) listee,, so it wouldn't do
to give him a phone number, but I tried to call THEM,with the number I
had, to find out what is the deal with them anyway. Now As
you could see subsequently, there were two members of this who had
"inside info" on the real story. Had they posted at any of the other
time this has come up (actualy Jason Jercinovich sorta did a while
back) This would not have been such a mystery so long. The point is
they were a great label and I hgad no Idea they were not well known. In
my town they had a steady following among DJ and lovers of Jazzy beat
stuff. NOw that the whole story is out I am satisfied.
