Thry're pretty big here for two main reasons: Local alternative (though
it's fast phasing it out in favor of electronica) station KROQ turned them
on to all the grunge kids, and somehow put the single, "Hell" on heavy
rotation. SNZ also was invited by the station to be one of the headliner
acts on an annual concert festival/benefit (KROQ Weenie Roast). Who knew?

There's also a big swing scene here in Southern California, and it's not
just limited to the trendy types who go to The Derby and see the Brian
Setzer Orchestra. A number of swing bands mix lounge, ska and latin music -
one of which is Jump With Joey, which
incidentally features several former Solsonics members (how's that for an
acid-jazz connection?).

As for "Latyrx," I've also seen it spelled as "Latryx." (which is also
easier to pronounce it seems. How DO you pronounce, "Latyrx"?) Is it a
typo? What gives?
