Dear Producer/Record Label Executive:
The San Francisco Local of the American Federation of Television and =
Radio Artists ("AFTRA"), the singers=92 premiere performing union, =
proudly requests the pleasure of your company on Monday, April 20, 1998, =
for its first annual Singers=92 Talent Showcase Night. In the past, many =
of you have inquired about the possibility of drawing from AFTRA=92s =
great pool of professional unionized vocal talent. This elegant evening =
of song and good cheer promises not only to showcase what AFTRA and its =
members have to offer, but serves as a bridge between you and some =
extremely talented individuals. When you see first hand the quality of =
vocal talent we count among our ranks, you will understand why we are so =
proud of our members. In order to be confirmed as AFTRA=92s special =
guests at Mr. E=92s in Berkeley where the Showcase will be held on April =
20, 1998, simply contact me as soon as possible. I can not only confirm =
the number of complimentary seats you wish to reserve for your party, =
but can also take your reservations for either the 8:30 or 10:30 p.m. =
shows. However, I urge you to act quickly to confirm, as seating for =
these performances is at a premium and the tickets are moving quickly. I =
can be reached at 415-391-7510. The event will spotlight 12 AFTRA vocal =
superstars, our very special guest Linda Tillery and the Cultural =
Heritage Choir, as well as your MC, comedian Scott Silverman.
Through these performances, AFTRA hopes to demonstrate how it shares =
your commitment to attracting a larger pool of music business to the Bay =
Area and to creating exciting new opportunities for the Northern =
California music industry. AFTRA represents thousands of professional =
performers working in the radio, television and recording industries, =
and wants to continue to reach out to all segments of the entertainment =
industry.=20
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lemonade Fund, a charity that =
assists performers (and their families) diagnosed with life-threatening =
illnesses, including HIV/AIDS. Please come, enjoy the show, and later =
give me a call so you can learn how to take advantage of AFTRA=92s =
exciting new proposals for working with your company. I look forward to =
seeing you at the Showcase.
Yours Truly,
Zino Macaluso, Business Representative, AFTRA/SAG
