If you want some reggae that could qualify as pertinent to this list,
check out the new release by the Skatalites "ball of Fire". Actually this
is Ska, but there are some amazing horn and organ solos. It's a new disc
from an old band that recently re-formed, and the instrumental jazz
quality will definitely suprise you. I think this is a must disc to
diversify an AJ-heads music collection with exccellent quality music.
Other really good roots reggae albums heavy on the horns, bass, and good
vocals are Yabby You "Jesus Dread" (2-discs), and Leroy Smart "Leroy Smart
and Friends".

Enjoy,
Kevin

My knowledge of reggae is very limited and I want to get deeper than the Bob Marley, Steel Pulse and Israel vibration I've been listening to so far. I rented a Horace Andy album which was a somewhat boring album (flame on..Iknow there are some good ones but which ones?), it was rather old. Can somebody drop some names and albums that aren't too hard to find and that I should check out? I heard about the congos ?!?
