gads.. i don't think i ever push the 45 button on my turntable. right on.
seems to me a lot of drum'n'bass sounds betta a bit slowed down on the 33
note..

i agree. i think slow beats tends to lean towards experimental in this
d'n'b genre.. but i definitely like the stuff that falls there.. i think
vadim, porcini, journeyman, etc.. all of them show excellence with slow
beats.

>look at it as "dance music" ....That doesn't mean it's not danceable
yep yep yep
just not "danceable" to the standard club crowd. sometimes i think the
average club fella can't shake the booty once the bpm drops below 120...
personally, i love watching someone like porcini stop a dance floor with
sometime REALLY slow. and then all of a sudden, in classic porcini.. off
we go again and breakneck speed....
anyway, i think the point is that vadim is putting out the norm. some may
want to speed his stuff up to listen to it., and some may like it as it
is.. i wouldn't put him in the same crowd pleasing category as herbalizer
for sure.. but i'd never dream of knocking the man for talent..
