rewinds and playlists

As the dancehall enlightened gentleman said earlier, rewinds have been
around for quite some time. There is even some dub reissues from Blood
and Fire that have the rewinds pressed on the record--i.e., you're
playing the record, and then it sounds like somebody has stopped and
spun it backwards even though its still playing...from back in the 70's.

My personal take on rewinds and mcin' and muzak in general is that if it
sounds good, it is good. If you got it goin' on, you can even take a
subject as mundane as pickin' boogers (Biz rules) and make it a jam.

Most drum n' bass mc's (and they are experimenting with a new style, so
I give them respect for that) have not impressed me. GQ was among the
best I've seen, though the night I saw him he was paired with
Grooverider and that shit was off the hook. Dynamite is all right, not
earth shattering but he's got good energy and vibes. TC Islam has
gotten much better since his early daze, he has represented on occasion.

If you want to check out an ol' skool (if the term is already
appropriate) jungle mc album, track down MC Det's "Out Of Det", I think
on suburban bass. A few jams contained herein.

By the way kidz, I'm spinnin' tonight (Tues) over at this spot Botanica,
located at 47 E. Houston between Mott and Mulberry (NYC). No cover and
cheap drinks, so checkit. I'm there Fridaze as well.

What do I play?!? My playlist from my last radio show, 4/2.
