As I recall he also had this rather unusual way of addressing figures of
authority: "Doctor" and "Professor". [As in: "Now thEN, we had a word
with Professor Lego..."] Professors Griff and Large and Doctor Octagon,
were you taking notes by chance?

Or maybe he was just a scary bloke from Leeds who liked small children.
