Well, I've been away awhile and I come back to my screen and find all this
flamin' towards you, what's up? You know, out of all the people to slam
they pick you over hundreds of other really very ignorant subscribers. I
read a lot of the mail and I find only a few people who I can actually
agree with or at least see their point of view. I'm not an ardent AJ
listener, I'm learning and I only know what people turn me on to. You by
the way have put me on good starting track in2 what is really good music.
I checked out some of the stuff you personally recommeded and was
pleased-Thank you, I appreciate it.
I'll tell you, Sam P., I'd take your advice before I'd take the advice of
anyone who gets so angry over a simple opinion of just one person. I mean
shit, one might think you were diss'n his mom or something. I like what
Jay Kay has done with *his* music. Whether or not he used anything by
anyone else, that's what music does it influences others to turn something
out a little bit different than the last. I sure as hell am not gonna get
my panties all in wad over it. Some people like it and some people don't.
I don't let a one time interview or tv show determine what I like in an
instance like that. If that was the case I'd be bumpin' Puff Daddy and
drinking Pepsi in Spice World, right? Ha! Smart people would at least
recognize what informed people know about the subject and consider it, not
slam it. I see what you were saying and I could twist it if I wanted to
but I just don't like JK that much to stick up for him. I like his music
as much as I like Stevie Wonder.
Anyway, sorry to rehash the subject, but I just couldn't let it go by.
You are one the people who's mail I will search for to see what you have
to say because you have good information about the sort.
And for the record, Sam P., you do know your shit.
