He is still around now though the classic stuff is Brian Augers Oblivion
Express: 70s jazz/soul fusion. I guess he was doing a kind of Sly Stone
thing - consciously multi-cultural lineup. His stuff on vinyl is quite
rare and expensive though I have seen some original stuff in A1 NYC for
about $10. Tying in with Songs in Key of Life thread I've heard a
version of Pastime Paradise by him. Also what will be v familiar to
listees is I think him in Trinity singing "3 is the Magic Number"
sampled by De La Soul of course and longtime a favorite of the very
excellent Rob Luis' Vibes Express twice monthly Brighton, England.
